Hello, everyone! How was your day going? We
know that these self-quarantine days are not part of our plan. But, due to the
COVID-19 outbreak, we have to do everything from home, including study from
home. Honestly, knowing that I am unable to go anywhere as I want, and
only be able to do online classes or any kind of thing from home, is a bit
stressed me out. As an extroverted person who recharges the energy by
socializing with people, I feel that online classes are really exhausting for
me since I need to do a lot of assignments but cannot interact with friends in
real life. The days feel so long at home since I mostly spend my time outside.
However, the good thing about self-quarantine and study from home is, I do not
need to wake up early in the morning anymore and I can wake up at any time
without having to worry whether I am late for the class or not. The time is way much more flexible.
During this two-week SfH (Study from Home),
since I have no experience of writing in a blog before, I searched some tips
and strategies about how to improve skills in writing. But, I ended
up reading about ‘blogging on the road’. It is such an interesting and new
thing for me. Usually people who do blogging on the road are travellers and
they do not have enough time to write a blog because they are having so much
fun. Most of them are writing the blog when they transit on trains, buses, or
planes. A-six-hour journey can quickly pass when we are organizing our
pictures, editing videos, or writing about what we have experienced.
In one of the blogs that I have read, the
writer said that we should not feel forced when we are writing, whether we
write to inspire others to do the same or to keep in touch with family and
friends. We can just write at anytime we want. Writing on the road helps
us to fix memories in our minds and make sure we have a summary of how we felt
in every part of the world. Writing ensures we continue to relive the memories
of our travels, since our memory can fade.
According to what I have read, we can use
long journey as our advantage. We might spend our time in the airport waiting
for our flight, that is the right time to write a blog or we can just organize
our travel pictures.
I just realized that there are so many
benefits of being a blogger, how fun blogging is, and also how it affects our
memory. By reading those kind of writings, made me desperately want to travel
somewhere but let's just wait until the condition is back to normal.
